More and more companies are starting to develop their own electric vehicles, whether we’re talking about cars or motorcycles. And while firms such as Tesla can already brag with a bit of experience in the field, some companies are just starting on this soon-to-be competitive path. Armotia is one such a company, and it has unveiled its first two electric motorcycles named Due R and Due X.
Due X is an off-road motorcycle while Due R was designed to run on smooth streets, but they both feature two-wheel drive systems. The 275-pound X model churns out 15 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque, while the R model boasts the same horsepower count but a bit less torque, 132 lb-ft to be precise. The off-road bike tops out at 50 mph, which is decent, while the street bike can reach 55 mph thanks to its tires, which are better suited for the road.
Both models are equipped with RUG-GEAR RG600 Android smartphones that act as displays. They are also accompanied by an app that allows quite a bit of customization. Other highlights include built-in cameras an operating times of up to 1 hour and 20 minutes on a single charge.
