Hublot’s Masculine Big Bang Aero Bang Jet Li Watch

Hublot’s Masculine Big Bang Aero Bang Jet Li Watch (1)

Hublot decided to celebrate its leading ambassador in Asia by creating a limited edition timepiece and dedicating it to him. They called it the Big Bang Aero Bang Jet Li watch, and they unveiled it right before Christmas. The winter holidays are behind us now, but the watch’s impressive character is still worth mentioning among the best luxury watches of today.

Besides its obvious Big Bang characteristics, the matte black Hublot creation also says a lot about the famous person whose name it bears. The skeleton dial for instance is actually a miniature representation of the metal trellis on China’s Shaolin temple. This temple means a lot to the renowned Chinese actor, as it is not just a symbol of his faith – Buddhism – but also a symbol of Chinese Kung-Fu, the martial arts that define him. Also, “The Shaolin Temple” was the first movie in which Jet Li ever acted, back in 1982.

The red accents don’t only look good in contrast with the black watch, but they also clearly represent China. And as a final touch, the back of the case shows Li’s life philosophy in the world-famous representation of Yin and Yang. Inside the44.5-mm ceramic case is an automatic movement HUB4214 with 257 components and 27 jewels. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters (10 atm) and has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Matching the black and red case is a black rubber strap covered by black gummy alligator with red stitching.

Only 200 pieces will be created, and a percentage of all profits from sales will be donated to Jet Li’s The One Foundation.
