Here you have a great example of how life is very much about compromise. Not entirely art, but not really a classic home either, the Letterbox House by McBride Charles Ryan shows us how art and functionality can cooperate in creating a pleasant shelter for you.
Located in Australia, the house boasts an impressive sculptural design, further accentuated by the use of dark and light colored wood which creates something like a shell on the exterior. Inside, the same geometric influences define the house.
Even though the Letterbox House is almost entirely on ground level it also has a master bedroom in a private section on what seems to be a second story and which also has a screened porch.
