HondaJet Reaches 489 MPH on Its FAA-Certified Test Flight

Some two moths ago we mentioned just how amazing the innovative HondaJet was, describing it as “the fastest, the most fuel efficient, the quietest jet in its category”. Today we are happy to tell you that the remarkable aircraft has recently had its first FAA-certified test flight and it amazed everybody when it reached 489 miles per hour at 30,000 feet.

The luxury jet can transport up to five passengers, plus the pilot and the co-pilot. The Japanese company is now ready to take orders at approximately $3.65 million, but they plan on building only 70 units every year, so you have to move fast if you want to grab one for yourself. Deliveries will probably start in late 2012.
