Hitler is still a very controversial figure, but he’s also one of the most famous people in the world, albeit for the wrong reasons. That’s why items that belonged to him are often sold for enormous sums, especially those related to World War II. Courtesy of Alexander Historical Auctions, Hitler’s own wartime telephone will be put under the hammer for $300,000 or more.

The phone was used by Hilter to order quite a few deaths, including the last command to set fire to his premises before his suicide. The item was recovered from the Fuhrer’s bunker by Brigadier Rayner, who was a British officer at the time. Manufactured by Siemens, it the telephone boasts an engraving of Hitler’s name, as well as an actual swastika.
