This amazing resort-style residence was created by SAOTA and Antoni Associates for a family who wanted a separate ‘work-from-home’ wing as well as special quarters dedicated to visiting guests. The name of the house is Kloof 151 and it is a really impressive 3-story building with terraces, cantilevering balconies and sweeping views of Clifton, Cape Town and its beautiful beaches.
Elegance, chicness and sophistication define the home, both inside and outside. The architects gave the entire space a sense of openness and a very pleasant airy feel. In order to achieve this, spaces received minimal furnishings and elements of décor, which kept things uncluttered and neat. Also, the stairwell features a frameless glass balustrade that successfully accentuates the home’s openness through its transparency.
Another important feature of the plush home is its strong connection to the outdoors. Huge windows allow the views to reach dwellers on every level, and all living spaces were designed to open onto terraces – this even includes the lovely kitchen. We especially love the pool level, because here the water seems to flow over the infinity edge directly into the sea – a stunningly beautiful visual effect.
