After they managed to fulfill a Qatari sheikh’s dream of owning piano decorated with over half a million Swarovski crystals, Goldfinch partnered up with a London-based studio named Based Upon for the creation of “The Baby.” This exceptional grand piano is housed within a special Based Upon-made sculpture that required no less than nine years in order to be complete. The sculpture is called Twisty and boasts dust gold metal exteriors as well as elegant round edges and curves.
It also features an oval cover top that can be opened up in order to display the black and white keyed grand piano as well as its 230 strings. This unique masterpiece comes with a price tag of $700,000, which is completely justified considering the fact that it is as much a work of art as it is a musical instrument. Goldfinch sure knows how to blend luxury and music, no doubt about it.
