G. Natkevicius & Partners found a completely new way of integrating traditional and contemporary architecture. They created this stunning glass house around a historic yellow brick one and obtained 3,519 square feet of living space for a banker and his family.
The house is located in Pavilniai Regional Park, Lithuania, near Vilnius. The owner is an antique book collector, so the basement of the old house features a library dedicated to his books. Also here is the two-car garage and a Turkish bath with rest room. The ground floor houses the children’s bedroom, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and a wardrobe. The master bedroom is in the attic.
