Genty Akylone: A New Supercar from France

We can only gaze at its computer-generated “portrait” for now, but we already love what we see. The Genty Akylone is a new supercar by French automaker Genty, who announced that it only intends to produce 15 of these stunning super rides. Powering the beast will be a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8, capable of putting out up to 1,000 horsepower.

The powerful engine doesn’t have to make a big effort to set the 1,100-kilogram (2,425-pound) car in motion. In fact, the 1.1 power-to-weight ratio is absolutely outstanding and translates into a 0-62 mph time of just 2.7 seconds. The seven-speed sequential transmission sends all the power to the rear wheels of the car. Maximum speed is 220 mph. There is no word on the price just yet, but we’re sure all this awesomeness must be really expensive.
