Frederique Constant’s Worldtimer Manufacture “Blue” Watch

The newest member of Frederique Constant’s Worldtimer Manufacture collection is the Worldtimer Manufacture “Blue” timepiece – a $4,500 masterpiece that flaunts a superb navy blue dial complemented by an anthracite grey world map. Powered by an in-house FC-718 Manufacture automatic caliber, the piece’s functions can be accessed by operating its crown, which means that there are no other buttons cluttering the side of the case.

In order to change the time zone, the user simply needs to select a city and place it at 12 o’clock on the dial. After a bit of self-calibration, the timepiece displays the time in the selected city with great accuracy. The mechanism is so complex that it can also show whether it’s day or night with the help of a white and a blue disk. At 6 o’clock, the user can check the date through a special aperture.
