Designed with great attention to detail by Estudio Rafael Freyre, this residence is located in Azpitia Valley, Peru, and it was finished in 2015. It rests on a picturesque location surrounded by vineyards, and it affords exceptional views of the landscape thanks to its large windows. The project was actually meant to integrate the house with its surroundings, which is why it boasts earthy textures and colors that help it blend with the natural environment.
The foundation is made out of platforms created using local stone, and it is covered by xerophytes plants that hide the internal program of the sauna. Above this stone layer are the terraces, which include a part of the social area, namely the dining room, living room and kitchen. As for the second level, it incorporates the private living areas such as the main and secondary room, both offering breathtaking views of the valley.
