The funny thing about Volkswagen Beetles is that people usually either love them or hate them, so you can understand why a Beetle Armchair might be facing the very same issues. However, even though this unique piece of furniture might appear rather unusual at a glance, a closer inspection reveals exquisite craftsmanship and fabulous high quality materials.
The Beetle Armchair was created by Andrea Colombo and Linda Assandri from Zac Glamour Design, and since one of them is an intense classic car lover while the other is mad about Swarovski crystal embellishments, you can imagine that this thing is quite well made to say the least. In a spectacular mix of Car Art and Baroque design elements, this lovely little armchair was manufactured using the actual wings of a VW Beetle, while the chair itself was embellished with a wide array of the aforementioned crystals.
The story doesn’t end here, however, as its creators also saw fit to implement LED lights for a plus of modernism as well as several silver or gold leaf inlays for an extra touch of luxury and opulence. Therefore, even if you’re not a fan of the VW Beetle, you definitely have to admit that this armchair is quite extraordinary, if not for its looks but for its incredible lavishness. Would you put it somewhere in your living room or would you pass?
