
Famed watchmaker Rolex has revealed a brand new version of its Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona piece at Baselworld 2016. This elegant version of the famed chronograph comes in 904L steel and features a monobloc Cerachrom bezel developed in-house using black ceramic.
As for the case, it ensures a water resistance of 330 feet, and it is hermetically sealed using screws that can only be manipulated using a special Rolex tool. The crystal that protects the dial from the elements is scratchproof sapphire, which a big plus reliability-wise. The case incorporates a caliber 4130 self-winding mechanical chronograph movement that boasts a power reserve of about 72 hours. The bracelet was also created using 904L steel, and it features an Oysterlock safety clasp that reduces the risk of accidental opening.
