Exquisite Deepsea D-Blue Dial Edition Watch By Rolex

James Cameron is definitely one of the most famous filmmakers in the world, but just in case you’re not familiar with the name, we’ll tell you that he was responsible for blockbusters such as Titanic and Avatar. Now, one of the world’s most reputable watchmaking brands, Rolex, decided to create a special timepiece in his honor, and that timepiece is called Deepsea D-Blue Dial Edition.

The watch sings an ode to Cameron’s unprecedented journey to the Marianas Trench in 2012, and it is based on the Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660 model. One of the most important parts of the watch is a dial that gradually shifts from deep blue to pitch black in order to emphasize its relation with the vast ocean. The Deepsea Challenger vessel that took Cameron to the depths of the ocean is also honored through a DEEPSEA green print that can be observed on the dial.

Highly reliable, the Deepsea D-Blue Dial Edition watch flaunts a sturdy steel case, a helium escape valve, a titanium caseback and a patented Ringlock system that allows it to withstand enormous pressures up to a depth of 12,800 feet.
