Elizabeth Taylor was always surrounded by glamour, and she could only leave this world in a dazzling way. The beautiful actress was laid in a £7,000 (or some $11,000) casket made of mahogany wood and lined with a custom red velvet. A matching red pillow was carefully put under her head and violets adorned the casket.
Elizabeth died on March 23 due to some cardiac problems, but before she passed away she asked for her casket to arrive 15 minutes late at the funeral. The 69-year-old actress had a private funeral in a Jewish cemetery in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The King of Pop (Liz was the first person to call him that) was also buried in this cemetery, in a $25,000 bronze casket, plated with 24-karat gold. Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor were very good friends for decades and now they are again close to each other. May their souls rest in peace.
