The spectacular residence that we’re about to describe is located in Herne Bay, Auckland, New Zealand, and it was completed in 2013 by Daniel Marshall Architects. Dubbed House in Herne Bay, it sits on a north-facing slope and offers amazing views of the Herne Bay and the Waitamata harbor. The home’s design is based on modern New Zealand cues, and it incorporates contemporary materials such as concrete and glass.
Actually, the project is based mostly on concrete, which was sculpturally formed across three levels. The layout is centered on a northern positioned exterior core that faces the sun throughout the day. It also provides outdoor relaxation and entertainment opportunities. Primary amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, balconies with glass railings, floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding glass doors, fireplaces and bespoke cabinetry.
