The not-so-famous Dacia car manufacturer is preparing a special version of it Duster crossover for the upcoming Pikes Peak international hill climb. Determined to make a name for itself in motorsports, Renault’s Romanian brand is getting ready to launch a new beast on the American tracks.
Jean-Philippe Dayraut will be the man driving the car and he has released several images of the Duster being customized and undergoing wind tunnel tests. Rumor has it that the modified crossover will boast a Renaultsport-tuned version of the twin-turbo V6 that powers the Nissan GT-R. The tweaked engine will probably be able to deliver some 850 horsepower.
