Measuring 2,960 square feet, the House in Zakynthos was designed in 2015 by Katerina Valsamaki Architects, and it is located on the northeast corner of Zakynthos Island in Greece. The home was built on a 2.5-acre plot, and it was integrated into its surrounding landscape that includes vineyards and beautiful olive trees.

The architects also wanted to make sure that the residents would be able to enjoy fantastic views of the sea from almost every room, which is why the project boasts three low volume sections that follow the natural slope of the site. This also reduces the impact of the building on the natural environment. The primary central volume includes the social areas, and it opens up to a stepped garden on the east and to a courtyard on the west.

On the outside, the abode features a mix of crisp white walls, glass walls and wooden façade elements, all of which blend nicely into a fantastic display of modernism and fine taste. Inside, high-quality furnishings, amenities and a seamless indoor/outdoor transition contribute to a warm and comfortable ambiance.
