Coca-Cola Prototype Bottle Sold for $240,000

Believe it or not, Julien’s Auctions managed to sell a contour prototype Coca-Cola bottle for $240,000. Designed by Earl R. Dean, this was the winning bottle at the 1916 Bottlers Convention but, because of some manufacturing issues, it never went into production. Dean later managed to find a solution for the problems, and so his improved Coca-Cola bottle design began to write history.  There are two such bottles in the entire world, and the other one can be found at the Atlanta Coca-Cola Company.
