Mille Miglia GMT Chronograph 2012 is the name of Chopard’s newest limited edition watch for stylish men who appreciate the beauty of a luxe sporty timepiece. The watch manufacturer has been associated with the renowned racing event since 1988, and this remarkable timepiece is a celebration of their relationship.
The oversized counters of ensure perfect readability even in extreme speed conditions, a detail that emphasizes the watch’s sporty character. The large 12 and 6 o’clock chronograph counters were inspired by the classic race cars’ dashboard instruments, and the rubber Dunlop Racing strap flaunts the classic tire tread design of the 1960s.
Chopard will only manufacture 2,262 pieces: 250 in rose gold and 2,012 in polished steel. The seconds hand of the 42.4mm watch features the collection’s signature red arrow tip, while a white-arrow hand indicates the 24-hour GMT on the black bezel. As an indication of its limited-edition pedigree, the timepiece features the “1000 Mille Miglia” arrow on its back, plus a unique serial number.
