Regular pencils aren’t made to last, and they’re often replaced quickly when they break because they’re quite cheap to buy. However, a man named Nicholas Hemingway decided to create a pen that’s nowhere near as disposable as conventional ones, and the result of his hard work is definitely something to hold on to as much as possible. Dubbed Mark II Everlasting Mechanical Pencil, this product is available in stainless steel, brass and aluminum, each version featuring a sleek design with seamless contour blending of nibs and barrels.
These pencils are created entirely by hand, and they are currently the focus of a Kickstarter project. Made to order, they can be customized according to the buyer’s preference in terms of lead thickness, which varies from 0.3mm to 0.9mm. Not bad at all for about $72, right?
