Catherham is finally ready to amaze the world with the production version of their latest creation, the SP/300.R. The company revolves around a half-a-century-old design, but it certainly knows how to make a very exciting brand new car. The first example of their new racer, built together with chassis manufacturer Lola, has finally been delivered.
It reached the vehicle’s US distributor, Dyson Racing, who will use the SP/300.R #1 as a demonstration vehicle. The expected result is an impressive sales number for the racing car. Powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine that puts out 301 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque, the car can reach 180 mph, and it can complete the 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds.
