The most opulent piano in the world was unveiled during the ICFF show, which showcases the best contemporary design pieces as well as some of the world’s most amazing home furnishings. Created by Bösendorfer in collaboration with Richard Kessler, the Grand Bohemian piano is an epitome of sophistication and luxury that can be considered both work of art and musical instrument.
As you can probably imagine, the acoustic integrity of the piano was not altered in any way, but its aesthetics are definitely something to write home about. The instrument was inspired in its design by a beautiful painting of a peacock and by a collection or bronze sculptures owned by Kessle. Therefore, we’re looking at a bronze-cast base, while the music stand resembles a peacock with its feathers unfurled. Last but not least, the piano frame has been covered by hand with gold leaf, while LED lighting in the soundboard and under the base area gives off an eye-catching glow.
