Inspired by the third generation BMW X5 which hasn’t even reached dealerships yet, the tuners at Lumma Design have already come up with an awesome upgrade package for the luxury crossover. Obviously, the German tuner is the first aftermarket company to have created a customization package for the new X5.
However, the first parts and vehicles will only be available starting March 2014, and they will be suitable for both the diesel and gasoline versions of the car. Widened and with a much more aggressive stance, the LUMMA CLR X 5 RS is definitely a head turner. It’s got new wheel arches with air inlets at the rear axle, huge air inlets in the front spoiler bumper, integrated daytime running lights, custom side skirts, integrated rear diffuser, a rear spoiler for extra downforce, and modified tail lights.
The wheels have also been swapped with 11×23 lightweight ones featuring matte black finish and decorative strips, as well as 315/25-23 tires. The interior too will be luxed-up for the crossover, using lots of leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber. The tuners will offer endless interior customization options to every client. And finally, as far as performance is concerned, Lumma Design has announced that a few tweaks will be made in that department as well, but “these are currently in preparation”.
