Famous for its excellent safety features, Volvo can also impress its fans with sporty characteristics, like this cool concept proves. Called Volvo Concept Coupe, the car is a next generation model of the P1800, which was very popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Packed with new technologies and boasting a beautifully upgraded design, the coupe is a winner by our standards. It fresh contemporary spirit is also highlighted by its hybrid powertrain. Besides it four cylinder gas engine, the concept has two more rear mounted electric motors that give power and enhance fuel efficiency.
On the inside, the old switches and knobs were swapped with a large touchscreen display in the center dash. Even though we really like what we see in these photos, Volvo did not reveal any intentions of bringing the concept to the production lines. We will, however, see some of its many great features incorporated into the automaker’s future models.
