Beautiful Minimalist Residence in Nova Lima

Designed by Denise Macedo Arquitetos Associados, this stunning contemporary homeis located in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Its two main features are the expansive glass walls that afford unobstructed views of the lovely surroundings, and the vast art collection that decorates the interior.

Completed in 2010, the residence is part of a spectacular landscape. The owners wanted to bring all this natural beauty inside their home, which explains the extensive use of glass throughout the entire building. All spaces boast large windows that keep a continuous connection to the outdoors. Living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, they all afford sweeping panoramas.

For the aforementioned art collection a special double height area was designed, flaunting 6 meter (over 19 feet) high ceilings and a total exhibition area of 190 square meters (2,045 square feet). The minimalist design of the entire dwelling reflects the owners’ desire to keep things simple, plain and inviting. See more in the gallery below.
