Located in a beautiful area of Boulder, Colorado, this private residence is a cozy haven of tranquility with inviting interiors. It was designed by Arch 11 and it was simply named 2290. Its architecture was influenced by the shrubby and boulder-studded landscape in which it stands, so there is plenty of exposed stone and wood for guests to admire throughout.
An oversized stone patio was strategically oriented to the south, while the northern side of the house was kept more ‘opaque’, thus ensuring plenty of privacy to its dwellers. The patio does an excellent job at connecting the indoors with the lovely exterior spaces. It ensures a seamless, gradual transition to the garden, working as a very inviting outdoor room.
