Hot rods are eccentric by definition, but this particular concept created by a team of students at ESPERA Sbarro Montbéliard is definitely in a league of its own. The outstanding Sbarro Eight Hot Rod Concept boasts an exceptional exterior design that appears to have been inspired by classic hot rods and contemporary jet fighters. Its power comes from a massive twin-turbo 3.2-liter Masserati V8 engine that’s good for no less than 368 horsepower.
The turbos are connected to the custom side exhausts, which probably sound downright diabolical once the driver revs the engine. The wheels are a set of OZ Racing Ultraleggera that are larger at the rear and smaller at the front. The smaller ones are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports tires, while the big ones flaunt Bridgestone Potenza rubber. Inside, we find wood and leather elements complemented by fiberglass seats and a Parrot Asteroid Smart car radio that features a 6.2-inch screen.
Too bad it’s not street legal.
