Apple Finally Launches The Apple Watch

After much anticipation, Apple finally managed to release the gadget that’s been on everyone’s lips for quite some time now. Apple’s high-tech timepiece comes in three different versions named Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition, each variant featuring 38mm or 42mm rectangular-shaped cases. As far as pricing goes, the Apple Watch Sport, which is the entry-level offering, costs $349 in its 38mm incarnation and $399 when it dons a 42mm case. The Sport boasts an anodized aluminum finish in silver and gray.

The mid-range 38mm Apple Watch costs between $549- $1049, while its larger 42mm sibling would set you back between $599 and $1099 depending on its band. This variant has a stainless steel case in glossy black or shiny polished silver as well as a sapphire crystal that protects its display.

The premium Apple Watch Edition starts off at $10,000 and flaunts an 18k rose gold or yellow gold case as well as leather and sports straps with lavish 18k gold hardware. Two Apple Watch Edition timepieces stand out as far as pricing is concerned, as they cost no less than $17,000 each. According to the American corporation, these models are a part of a limited edition, and they will only be purchasable at select retailers.

The gadget comes with some pretty impressive native apps such as a calendar, maps and a reminder. Third-party applications can also be installed by the user, in which case the watch can perform a variety of interesting actions such as opening hotel rooms or offering chat functionality. The battery on this thing should last about 18 hours during regular use sessions, and that’s not bad at all.
