Most science-fiction movies or games that are based in the future show off an advanced human society that’s heavily reliant on advanced technologies, whether we’re talking about weapons, robotics or even bionic limbs. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an upcoming cyberpunk-themed action role-playing video game that presents a very interesting take on humanity’s future, as its main protagonist, Adam Jensen, makes full use of a bionic arm in order to complete his missions.
Now, the design team behind Deus Ex and a company named Open Bionics have come together to create an advanced yet affordable bionic arm modeled after the one used by Adam Jensen. The prosthetic is being manufactured using open-source blueprints, which means that pretty much anyone will be able to replicate it using 3D printing in the future. Even though we don’t know anything about an exact release date at this point, we do know that this device will change many lives for the better.
