For his new photo series named Provocateur, photographer Tyler Shields has decided to crank up the heat by setting fire to a very expensive Louis Vuitton trunk. The trunk in question is worth no less than $15,000, and we’re sure that quite a few tears were shed for it, especially when it comes to pure Louis Vuitton fans. The act was apparently done in the name of art, and the entire experience was described as “crazy.”
“This is one of the last shots I did for my new book. It took me a few years to find the trunk as they are rare and not cheap.”
This isn’t the first time that Shields destroyed a designer product, as he previously wrecked a Hermes Birkin handbag as well as a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Before setting fire to the trunk, however, the artist did shoot a few photos with it while it was still intact, which could be regarded as a silver lining.
