Even though it might resemble an American muscle car, this Nissan Skyline GT-R “Hakosuka” is actually a pure Japanese masterpiece and a predecessor of the current Nissan GT-R. This awesome ride will be put under the hammer at the Concours D’elegance in Pebble Beach by Gooding & Company, and it has an interesting history as it actually started off as a luxury car created by Prince Motor.

However, thanks to the hard work of Shin’ichiro Sakurai, the vehicle became worthy of competing in the Japanese Grand Prix, and so it did in 1964. It changed its name to 2000GT-X and 2000GT-R when Prince merged with Nissan, but the model was eventually put out of commission in the 1970s. Boasting a 6-cylinder, 158 horsepower engine that’s also good for 130-pound feet of torque, this vehicle is equipped with a manual gearbox, and it will surely fetch a handsome price at auction.
