$50,000 Anniversary Cowboy Boots

Tony Lamas El Rey IV 100th Anniversary Boots

For their 100th anniversary, Tony Lama Boots have made a stunning pair of gold and diamond-studded cowboy boots, called the El Ray IV or Kings. This is the fourth pair in a special series and they flaunt 100 diamonds (because it’s the 100th anniversary) and 4.4 ounces of 14-carat gold. They will be on display at Carol’s Western Wear in Laurel between May 13-15 and in Glen Burnie between May 20-22.

These will be two well guarded exhibitions, because the first two pairs in the series (the 1961 El Rey I and the 1971 El Rey II) were stolen while on display in Florida. El Rey III is currently safe at Tony Lama’s headquarters. The first pair was pried at $5,000, the second at $10,000, the third at $32,000 and now the last model is worth $50,000. So El Rey IV must be pretty tempting for both honest and fraudulent luxury lovers.
