2015 Polaris Slingshot Is Madness On 3 Wheels

What you see here is the 2015 Slingshot – a sporty and powerful little car that was created by a Minnesota-based company called Polaris. Even though some might be inclined to associate this ride with the Ariel Atom or other small and powerful automobiles, a closer look would reveal that the Slingshot is actually in a league of its own since it rides on just 3 wheels. However, unlike the Reliant Robin that used to fall over on its side every time its driver would try to make a turn, the Polaris Slingshot is guaranteed to hug the road at all times.

This vehicle has 2 wheels at the front and 1 at the rear, which technically makes it a motorcycle. That means that you have to wear a helmet while “riding” it, but you probably needed to do that anyway since the small windshield could not possibly prevent random bugs from hitting you in the face.

The Slingshot features a lightweight carbon fiber body that ensures a weight of just 1,725 pounds. Powered by a 2.4-liter EcoTec engine that dishes out 176 horsepower, the 2015 Polaris Slingshot can definitely live up to its name as far as acceleration is concerned.  This ride comes in 2 different versions, both of which feature stability control systems, electric power steering, traction control and ABS.

Prices start off at $19,999. Tempted?
