
Famous Ford tuner, Shelby, is ready to unveil the new 2012 Shelby GT 500 Super Snake at the upcoming New York International Auto Show (April 22-May 1). Standard upgrades squeeze 750 hp from the ride’s engine and include a new fiber glass hood plus signature Super Snake stripes in matte white or matte black, a Borla exhaust system, a 6-speed manual transmission with 3.73:1 rear axle ratio, a Ford Racing handling pack, 20-inch Alcoa wheels, and Shelby/Baer brakes with 6-piston calipers and cross-drilled/vented rotors.
Options include an 800-hp engine tweak, a two-tone leather interior and a Shelby/Eibach handling pack. The new Super Snake will be available for prices starting at $80,000, and Shelby assures us that the car will be road legal in all 50 states.
