The creation process involved sourcing a real piston rod from a blown engine, which was then scanned in order to obtain its exact shape and measurements. Miniaturizing a working replica was no easy feat, as it involved laser welding technology and forging a carbon rod around a silver bearing. This was done in order to make sure that the cast silver piston would be able to move freely on its connecting rod, and all that hard work definitely paid off, as the end result is nothing short of a masterpiece.
