Not so long ago this was an naval frigate, also known as Swift 41. Now it is the 6th largest yacht in the entire world. ADM Shipyards are the ones responsible for this 462.5 ft super yacht, built in Abu Dhabi.
Fast and hydrodynamic, Yas is also one of the most luxurious yachts. It impresses with its simple design, characterized by elegant glazing, beautiful curves and lines, all created by Pierrejean Designs. The diesel engines feature variable-pitch propellers which assure ecological fuel-consumption and an average speed of 20 knots.
The beautiful ship can accommodate 60 guests and 56 crew members. Onboard amenities include a garage for gadgets and water-sports machines, an outdoor pool and spa, and a carbon-fiber door that can be used as a boarding bridge or swimming pool.
As any luxurious yacht, Yas also has state-of-the-art amenities: long-range underwater sonar, Night Navigator, FLIR and high-definition day cameras, ultimate-tech radars and SatCom. Unfortunately, we still have to wait a little bit until this beauty is ready for its launch in 2012.
