Most Luxurious Inland Cruise Ship

The most luxurious inland cruise ship in the world has started its maiden voyage on Sunday. It departed from Chongqing and it will welcome its first tourists on Saturday, according to the owner of the ship, who is an official of Chongqing Transportation & Tourism Investment Group Co.

Named Yangtze River Golden No.1, the vessel is actually a floating five-star hotel, capable of accommodating up to 350 tourists in lush conditions. A four-day trip from Chongqing to Yichang, Hubei Province, China costs $461 per person for a standard room, but more extravagant options are also available, like the $5,543 per night presidential suite.

Onboard amenities include conference facilities, helipad for VIP guests or paramedics if necessary, sight-seeing elevators and much more. Even so, Yangtze River Golden No.1 is still far from being considered among the world’s greatest liners.
