World’s Thinnest Tourbillon by Arnold & Son

The world’s new thinners tourbillon is here from Arnold & Son. Called UTTE (Ultra Thin Tourbillon Escapement), the timepiece is a record breaker, its caliber being over 0.5 mm thinner that the ex-thinnest tourbillon, Caliber 600P from Piaget. This means that the brand new A&S8200 tourbillon is only 2.97 mm thick. The whole watch measures a mere 8.34mm in thickness, and it is an elegant piece limited to only 100 examples.

With a double-barrel configuration, the watch boasts an amazing 80-hour power reserve. Another very interesting feature is the spherical tourbillon cage which is raised above the caliber and stands as high as the minute and hour hands of the watch. Available in palladium and red gold, the timepiece will be limited to a total production of 100 units. The palladium version will be priced at approximately $61,000, while the rose gold UTTE will cost some $70,200.
