World’s Most Expensive Dog Costs $1.9 Million

If you own a pet, then you must know by now that caring for your companion requires time and money, but some people definitely go to extremes when it comes to spending money on their pets. As such, the world’s most expensive dog was recently purchased for the staggering sum of $1.9 million by a property developer in China.

The dog, a Tibetan mastiff, was sold at a special pet fair Zhejiang and bought by a 56-year old Qingdao that seems to be interested in dog breeding. With a height of 2.6 feet and a weight of 198 pounds, Tibetan mastiffs are undoubtedly some of the largest dogs in the world, and since they also have very puffed up gold manes, some might say that they actually resemble lions. Moreover, Tibetan mastiffs are known for their loyalty and ferociousness, and many believe that they are the descendants of dogs used in hunting purposes by the old nomadic tribes of Asia and Tibet.
