As the first wedding anniversary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is approaching (April 29), Mattel is unveiling the new William and Catherine Royal Wedding dolls. The plastic collectibles are dressed in tiny replicas of the couple’s wedding costumes.
Kate’s doll flaunts a delicate wedding gown with lace torso, just like the original dress. It also has a matching ivory veil, plus silvery drop earrings and a lovely tiara. Will is also instantly recognizable with his scarlet Irish Guards colonel’s uniform, and the blue sash over his shoulder.
The pair costs $100, so you might want to just keep the toys for display, rather than allowing kids to play with them in their typical merciless way. The dolls are now available online at BarbieCollector.com, but there is a limit of only five dolls per order.
