Created by the oldest diamond dealer in the world – Backes and Strauss, founded in 1789 – this glamorous watch was created for the 2013 Only Watch charity auction. The British company’s contribution to the fight against muscular dystrophy took the form of a fabulous ladies’ watch called Victoria Princess Red Heart.
This new addition to the Victoria Princess line is elegant and classy, with its whole design centered around the heart motif. Intertwined hearts studded with diamonds and rubies make up the bracelet and the decoration around the 18-carat gold dial. The hearts around the dial are covered with 180 ideal cut diamonds (1.50 carats), while the bezel is adorned with 32 rubies (0.45 carats).
The lace-like bracelet flaunts 322 mode ideal cur diamonds (2.20 carats) as well as 66 rubies (0.60 carats). The dial is delicate and simple, made of mother-of-pearl and featuring four diamonds as hour indicators. The time is shown by two small sword-shaped hands.
