Vertu has done it again. They created a new astonishing collection of luxury mobile phones for the rich and opulent. Called Signature Dragon, the collection includes three versions of high-end handsets, each one with its own charm and unique appeal.
The first and most expensive one is the Signature Dragon Yellow Gold Diamond phone, sporting 18-carat gold elements and a 0.33-carat princess cut diamond incorporated in the select key. On the back of the phone there is an exquisitely crafted dragon application made of 18-carat gold and flaunting two brilliant cut small diamonds for eyes.
The second model features stainless steel for most of the phone’s elements, and a princess cut emerald for the select key. The dragon on the battery cover is made of 925 sterling silver and features eyes made of brilliant cut emeralds.
The third version is made of stainless steel with a polished or matte black PVD finish. The gems chosen for this model were red rubies: one princess cut ruby for the select key and two brilliant cut rubies for the dragon’s eyes. The dragon itself is made of 925 sterling silver.
Manufacturing one dragon takes the joint effort of at least four artisans who need to work together for two days before the miniature sculpture is ready to be set on a Vertu mobile phone. The four-clawed dragon used to be an exclusive emblem of the Chinese senior officials and noblemen, and it is now an ideal symbol for the 21st century luxury lover.
