Two Pages From An Old Tintin Artwork Sell For $1.2 m

Those of you who know anything about vintage comics are surely familiar with The Adventures of Tintin – a series of comic albums created by Georges Remi, otherwise known as Hergé. During a special event that took place at an auction in Paris, the final two pages of King Ottokar’s Sceptre was sold for almost $1.2 million, which just goes to show how appreciated Hergé’s work is even today.

The comic in question was published back in 1939, and it represents the eight installment in the series. As for the storyline, it shows Tintin stopping a plan to overthrow a European king, which was the author’s way of expressing his anti-Nazi views.
