In their efforts to revive the Auburn Auction Park, Auctions America hosted a debut spring sale in Auburn, Indiana. The event took place between May 12-15 and it generated sales of over $6.75 million. called the Auburn Spring Collector Car Auction, the sale brought together numerous car enthusiasts and collectors, some of them from far distances like Argentina, Austria and Belgium. Approximately 66% of the lots were sold, making this event a really successful one.

The two highlights of the sale were a 1932 Duesenberg Model J Dual-Cowl Phaeton, which sold for an impressive $375,000, and a 1932 Duesenberg Model J Five-Passenger Sedan, which fetched the even more impressive sum of $404,250. Another expensive lot was the $247,500 Shelby Mustang GT 350 from 1965 which determined quite a bidding war at the sale.
