Designed to surpass the Exige S in both performance and looks, this amazing Lotus Exige Sport 350 is about 112 pounds lighter when compared to its predecessor, as it includes lighter engine mounts, a lighter battery and a louvered tailgate panel. It also flaunts better sound insulation, light pipework and a fresh center console that exposes the shift mechanism.
Power-wise, it is equipped with a roaring 3.5-liter V6 that’s good for 345 horsepower and 295 lb ft of torque. This powerhouse allows the vehicle to perform a 0-62 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds, while its top speed sits at 170 mph. On the inside, the switchgear has been altered in order to support the Dynamic Performance Management system, while the engine’s start button and light switch have also received some attention. Trim packs such as yellow Tartan or red can also be provided on request, while the new aero kit comes with improved geometry and firmer dampers.
Other details include vented two-piece brake disks, alloy wheels, yellow or black four-piston brake calipers, AC and a superb entertainment system. No word on the price tag for this new Lotus just yet, but we do know that it’s scheduled to hit dealerships in February 2016.
