The last thirteen American Idol contestants must be having the time of their lives on this jaw-dropping mammoth estate in Los Angeles. Situated on Mulholland Drive, above Beverly Hills, the mansion offers 15,000 square feet of living spaces, with the great room alone measuring 48 feet in width, 60 feet in lengths and 28 feet in height. That’s more than some people have for an entire house!
The mansion has nine bedrooms that could host the contestants, but they don’t sleep in any of them. Instead, they have been given the two immense master suites that occupy the entire second floor. Each of the suites are larger than many American homes and they each boast a sitting area, a spa-like bathroom, a walk-in closet, a fireplace and breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. They even have their own full-service kitchenettes.
The main kitchen is downstairs, next to the gargantuan great room, and it’s equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, of course. There are also seven full bathrooms and two half ones in the house, so we’re pretty sure no one ever has to wait in a row for their turn in the shower.
Outside, beautifully landscaped gardens, a swimming pool and a spa offer all the relaxation one could ever ask for. There’s also a 2,000 square foot guesthouse with two stories that has been re-fitted for the contestants. It currently makes a great entertainment area with stuff like a pool table made out of a vintage Ford Mustang.
