Audi has revealed the new A5 and S5 and we love them both. While the 2012 A5 is even more elegant than before, the 2012 S5 has a mean, more aggressive look, that suits it perfectly.
Front styling modifications in the A5 include some 2012 A6-inspired cues, minus the automaker’s adaptive LED lighting. Both models will receive wraparound LED running lamps and standard projector-beam xenon units. The taillights are also slightly modified in the new generation, with larger running lamps through the center of the light cluster.
The standard powertrain for the new A5 is Audi’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 211 horsepower. The S5 coupe however will no longer get the 4.2-liter V8, but a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, capable of 333 horsepower and consuming 20% less fuel per 100 km.
Both the A5 and the S5 will be available for purchase later this year, but only in Europe, which means that we will have to wait a little longer for new models in the States.
