Thefastest Aston Martin (aside from the awesome One-77) was created to bring race car technology and performance to the streets. It is the new V12 Vantage S with more power, higher speed, and a series of other cool features as well.
At the core of the project lies a new AM286.0-liter V12 engine with hollow camshafts, CNC-machined combustion chambers, and more power than ever. It can put out 565 hp at 6750 rpm, and 475 lb-ft of torque. This means 50 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque more than the outgoing coupe. As a result, the top speed has gone from 190 mph to 205 mph, and the 0-60 time is below 4 seconds, as opposed to the regular 4.3 seconds.
Power reaches the 19-inch wheels via a new 7-speed SportshiftTMIII AMT transaxle transmission and the suspensions come with three-stage adaptive damping: Track, Sports and Normal. There is also a button on the center console which activates a separate ‘Sports’ mode by changing gearshifts, throttle response and the exhaust note. Speaking of exhaust sound, the car has been equipped with a much sonorous system borrowed from the amazing One-77 hypercar.
On the inside you get full-grain leather upholstery, Alcantara trims, memory seats (also memory exterior mirrors), and 700W Aston Martin premium audio system with integrated Apple iPod® connector1. You will definitely also appreciate the carbon fiber grille as part of the cool new exterior.
