Aston Martin has unveiled their latest Le Mans monster, the AMR-One. Inspired by the gorgeous One-77 and based on a new carbon fiber chassis, this is one dangerous open-top LMP1 racer. It is perfectly adapted to the new 2011 Le Mans regulations including the ones regarding fuel efficiency.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder direct injection engine and is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed traverse semi-automatic pneumatic shift Xtrac gearbox. The company will build six AMR-Ones in all.
